What have I been doing all this time? Sleeping at my desk of course. It’s a very exciting moment for me, seeing all the design coming together and functionally feels better than what I’ve originally anticipated. Now that they have somewhat nailed down the new framework for the game, they have been busy implementing the new design piece by piece. Lazer development has been doing very well.

It’s been a long time since I posted the last update on osu!next. On other news, I’ll be heading to Anime Expo 2017 at Los Angeles in July with the team I’ll see you peeps there at the booth. No specific time yet, as that totally depends on when the studio’s devoid of other lifeforms (wouldn’t want to terrorise the other team members with my loud noise). It’s just that there’s nothing much for me to show on this blog as almost all of the new designs are being implemented directly to osu!lazer. So what happened between the last post and this post? Do keep in mind that this is still very early at design stage, and nothing is final.īehind me right now, is a team of devs who are about to murder me because as they thought things are nearing completion, they might need to do a lot more things now. I’ve been busy rethinking the website, and now I think I’m confident enough to tease what I’ve worked on so far. The ultimate goal is still to provide all the information in a neat order without sacrificing user experience. A massive revamp felt unavoidable as it will solve a lot of UX problems and fixing the current design would just gives me more problems. So, I started everything from the scratch again, with every single new function and feedback in mind.

As I try to iron things out, the site turned into a full blown design clusterfluck with things all over the place, and I can only blame it on myself. There were things which were not envisioned during the design process and adding them later proved to be problematic. Rest assured that I’m still here spending most of my time doing UX fixes on the website.So, here’s the case: As we progress forward with the new design, more and more problems started to pop here and there it could be from new function specs or user feedback.
